Letās keep it real; 2020 was not a good year for anybody! Fear not; itās time to leave it all behind as 2021 is a year to start anew. As this is a new beginning, many of us take this opportunity to set New Year’s resolutions and goals. That being said, 2021 should be a year where we focus on our well-being and ourselves.Ā
Besides the physical, there should be an emphasis on the importance of our environment. Too often, we think about the larger picture when we should focus on the smaller one. However, donāt spread yourself too thin; set one goal at a time and plan ahead. Maybe this means changing it up at home.
For example, perhaps youāve been wanting to give your bedroom a makeover but donāt think you have the time nor the budget. Start by writing what you would like to change and what obstacles you might face. Of course, this can apply to any goals or resolutions, not just home design. Most importantly, start with baby steps. Maybe you canāt afford all the pieces right now, but you can afford the bed or nightstand first. Success doesnāt mean getting all done at once; it means taking your time to accomplish what you want at your own pace.Ā
Remember, the hardest part of setting a goal or resolution, regardless of what it is, is starting it. Once you do however, everything else should fall into place.Ā
Our home, whether itās a small studio apartment or an expansive palace, should be where we feel our best. It should represent who we are in the present moment. If you find that it isn’t, then maybe itās time for a change.Ā
